Tennessee Inventors Association (TIA) Meeting Newsletters
The Tennessee Inventors Association sends a monthly newsletter to members and visitors. The newsletters contain notes on the previous meeting and information on other items of interest. Some newsletters include pdf copies of the handouts. To view these handouts, Adobe Acrobat or other pdf file reader/viewer program must me installed on your computer.

Inventlist is website for inventors and investors to connect for business as well as for marketing their products to the public for sale. May 2014 Carl Papa and the Pocket Pin High ProThe May 2014 speaker was Carl Papa, the TIA president. Carl discussed his successes and his not so successful attempts to manufacture and market the Pocket Pin High Pro golf aid. |

April 2014 Andy PokelwaldtOur April 2014 speaker was Andy Pokelwaldt, Program Director of Advanced Composite Employment (ACE) Accelerator Program at Roane State Community College. Andy spoke about carbon fiber and other composite materials being developed at his lab at the Oak Ridge Laboratory. |

March 2014 Richard SteinleOur March 2014 speaker was Richard Steinle, a local inventor. Richard presented his idea about shooting short videos about inventors and their inventions and/or ideas. The short videos could be combined to make a 30 minute segment that will hopefully be broadcast on local television. |

December 2013 Holiday get-togetherDecember is our member get together month for the TIA. The TIA met at Perkins Pancake House, 9507 Kingston Pike (Windsor Square Shopping Center), for a late breakfast/early lunch. No official business was conducted, but everyone got a chance to become better acquainted. |

November 2013 ElectionsThe agenda for the November 23 TIA meeting included the TIA annual elections. Our featured speaker was Dr. H. Lee Martin. |

October 2013 JR Charles and KickstarterThe featured speaker for October was JR Charles. His presentation discussed Kickstarter as a funding tool. Also, the upcoming TIA elections were discussed. The TIA Elections will be held during the November meeting. We have many term limited officers and now is the time for members to step up and contribute to keeping the TIA the great organization that it is. The Ballot is published below. Nominations will be accepted at the October meeting. |
