July 2014 The Internet of Things

Our July 2014 speakers will be John Hocker and Brian Drozd. The TIA is pleased to announce a presentation on "The Internet of Things: A Patent Primer" by  John Hocker and Brian Drozd, associate patent attorneys at Oliff PLC. Mr. Hocker, a graduate of ETSU (computer science), Memphis Law (J.D.) and GWU (IP LL.M.), worked 6+ years as a patent examiner at the USPTO in the computer software technology center. Mr. Drozd, a graduate of UNC-Charlotte (cum laude, Electrical and Computer Engineering), Duke (Masters of Electrical and Computer Engineering) and UNC (J.D.), has represented a number of clients in a diverse range of technologies.
