October 2014 TIA Meeting
Our October 2014 speaker was supposed to be Laura Lyons, a Certified Financial Planner practitioner with over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. Unfortunately, Laura could not make her presentation. We look forward to when she is able to make the meeting. We would like to hear what she has to say. In place of her presentation we held a round-table meeting discussing inventions, ideas, and trying to answer questions posed by members. Several members gave updates on the progress of their inventions.
Laura Lyons is a Knoxville native. She earned her BA degree from Rhodes College in Member, where she studied psychology with an emphasis on human intuition and judgment and the psychology of perception. This focus, in combination with her enthusiasm for economics, was the beginning of her love of behavioral finance.
Laura's approach recognizes that effective financial planning is about more than advice - it is also about helping people understand and change their relationships with money
